Corrective Exercise
Corrective exercise is a deep understanding of bio mechanics, anatomy and kinesiology of the body as it pertains to exercise and chronic pain. Physical measurements and assessments are carried out and correlated with nutrition and lifestyle analysis to look for patterns.
For example, when there is inflammation in the gut, very commonly there will be a lack of strength and coordination of the abdominal muscles controlling the torso – this is due to the shared nerves in this area.
Corrective exercise training is a holistic view of how the body functions and interacts together between all systems; digestive, emotional, physical and hormonal. If one is over looked, the whole programme may fall apart.
Corrective exercise has been used with great effect on clients with chronic health conditions and musculo- skeletal problems, where other treatments and therapies may have failed.
